Jumping Stallion

Manchester Red Wine

We discovered Manchester Red Wine as a two year old thanks to his Polish breeder Margorzata Siergiej. We trained him for the KWPN-stallionapprovals where he presented himself very convincing. He jumped all rounds with lots with lots of elasticity, excellent manners and lots of scope. Thanks to his appealing, beautiful type and his interesting pedigree the judges selected Manchester Red Wine for the performancetest.

Not overrated with 81.5 points

Manchester Red Wine has a very pleasant character and is the training and under saddle very willing to cooperate with his rider. At home during the training Manchester showed himself very talentfull as a showjumper. He proved our confidence in him during the performancetest. The 81,5 points was not overrated in our opinion.

We think that Manchester Red Wine really can contribute to the breed and that he can reach the higher levels in sport. Below the marks of the performancetest and the written report.

Manchester Red Wine is a honest, crisp and sympathetic stallion with a good attitude. He is eager to work and is super rideable. His canter is light-footed, has good reach, changes lead easily and is a little bit on the forehand. Manchester Red Wine jumps with his body upwards and with good reflexes. His frontleg technique is good and he uses his body more than sufficient. Manchester seems careful and shows a lot of scope. He has a lot of talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.

Sire Aganix du Seigneur was a great talent in sport at the highest level, ridden by Jos Lansink. An injury disturbed his career. With is excellent progeny, Aganix du Seigneur belongs to the upcoming sires in the rankings. That is the reason that Aganix becomes more and more popular among breeders and his offspring got sold for really good prices.

Manchester’s dam Delight W is a daughter of the scopey Holsteiner sire Clearway, who is known for his international results at 1.55m level and as sire of dozens of offspring competing at Grand Prix-level. Her eldest son Highlight W (by Berlin) jumped 1.30m classes.

Granddam Rockella-S excelled at 1.50m level in the international sport. She produced the 1.35m jumper I-Rock Flower (by Harley VDL). Great-granddam Mayflower (Carolus I x Caletto I) produced a total of five international performers.

This branch of the Holsteiner damline 7126 goes back to the famous mare Urbine, the granddam of the well-known sire Burggraaf.
