The BWP-bred Panenka de Kalvarie impressed with his scope, his reflexes and superb jumping-technique during the Zangersheide approvals in 2019. He moves with lots of elasticity. His canter is of good reach, powerful and very well balanced.
This stunning and well developed son of Comme Il Faut has a really pretty type, is longlined and long-legged with lots of expression and quality. What even makes Panenka de Kalvarie more interesting is his excellent pedigree.
His dam Lady van ’t Roosakker competes at international1.40m level under the name Estrella Hero Z ridden by the French rider Alexa Ferrer. The mare combines sport and breeding. Her sire Echo van Spieveld jumped succesfully at 1.60m level, is elite-stallion and known for his great progeny in sport.
Like his grandsire Panenka’s granddam Electra van ’t Roosakker jumped at the highest level in sport, ridden by Jos Lansink and Janika Sprunger. In many Grand Prix the mare showed her unlimited scope and superb technique. Other famous offspring of Electra are Kaprice (Kent Farrington) and Kassander van ’t Roosakker, full-siblings of Panenka’s dam.
Greatgranddam Otoucha van ’t Roosakker (by Darco) is also dam of the internationals Falco (by Berlin) and Gatoucha (by Diamant de Semilly). Otoucha is daughter of breeding-phenomenon Usha van ’t Roosakker (Chin Chin x Major de la Cour) and halfsibling of Ben Maher’s topmare Cella (by Cento) and the 1.60m horses Babbe, Emperio and Equador van ’t Roosakker and the famous stallion George Z (by Kannan).
Panenka de Kalvarie fully lives up to the expectations of his pedigree. His sire Comme Il Faut is one of the best sons of the legendary Cornet Obolensky. Ridden by Markus Ehning the son of Ratina blongs to the best competitors and also his progeny excels in sport.
