Selected for the performance test

We bought Travolta Norel together with Rom Vermunt from his breeders André and Martin van Norel, who are still co-owners, raised the stallion, trained him, and presented him during the KWPN stallion inspection. Travolta Norel was certainly one of the highlights of the inspection. He performed very well during the first assessment and again in the second round in Den Bosch. He was therefore selected for the performance test.

Travolta Norel is a well-developed, modern dressage stallion with an appealing, long-lined build. He has a good walk, trots with a lot of carriage and good technique, and also shows expression and suppleness in the canter.

Pedigree

His sire, Omar Sharif, was a premium stallion at the KWPN Stallion Show as a three-year-old and is now successfully competing in Z2 dressage. His sire Escamillo has made a name as a sire. His dam, Khloe Platinum, competes in Lower Tour dressage, descends from the approved stallion Ferguson, and is the full sister of the well-known World Championship mare Lightning Star. Travolta Norel’s dam is the 1.79m star mare Naara. Her sire, Expression, represented the Netherlands at the highest level with Diederik van Silfhout in the saddle. Grandfather Montecristo was one of the better horses of his generation and also competed at the highest level. Great-grandmother Naara (by Cabochon) competed in Z2 dressage. This lineage has produced several good dressage horses in the Lower Tour and Z2 level from Wapenveld.

We have high expectations for Travolta Norel and will offer him for the KWPN performance test in due course.
