Stal Brinkman has traditionally been a family business for more than 130 years. Twin brothers Koen and Marco Brinkman (1981) have recently taken over the stud farm completely from their parents Willie and Marlies, who are still involved in the work on the farm.
The business has been transformed over the years into a modern, well-equipped horse farm where stallion farming, semen production, training, rearing young horses and trading take centre stage.
Koen and his girlfriend Yardena live together at the stud farm on the Rijksstraatweg in Twello.
Within Stal Brinkman, Koen is responsible for the stallion farm, the EU-station, the training of inspection horses and the breeding branch.
His girlfriend Yardena is responsible for the administration at the stallion farm.
Marco also lives with his wife Monique at the farm on Rijksstraatweg.
Within the company, he has his own department where young show jumpers and stallions are trained and brought to competitions up to international level.
An important part of the business is buying and selling show jumpers and mediating for clients.
Willie Brinkman (1950) works on the farm every day.
In the winter months, he supports his sons in training the young stallions and caring for the horses.
In the summer months, Willie is often on the road to collect semen from sport stallions, inseminate mares at the breeders’ homes and advise the breeders.
His wife Marlies is responsible for the financial administration.
Stal Brinkman is a versatile, service horse company where you, as a customer, can go for (breeding) advice, semen from our own stallions and available stallions from our colleagues from all over Europe.
