Dante’s Empire has been approved by the Oldenburger Society. The long-legged, attractive three-year-old is youthful and has a good, long-lined model and is interestingly bred. The stallion is in training with Bart Veeze, who is preparing Dante’s Empire for the short performance test in Germany next autumn.
Under saddle, Dante’s Empire shows remarkably good use of the foreleg, a lot of balance and good use of the body.
Dante’s Empire is a son of the Oldenburg top stallion Dante Weltino, who carries the blood of the influential sires De Niro and Donnerhall through his father Danone I. Dante Weltino has been a fixture for the Swedish team for years. With Therese Nilshagen, Dante Weltino took part in the Tokyo Olympics, the world championships in Herning and Tryon and the European Championships in Riesenbeck, Hagen, Rotterdam and Gothenburg.
After Red Viper and Roman Empire, Dante’s Empiore is the third approved son of their mother Zolena. The mare was one of the best mares of her generation with two participations in the World Championships for young horses and she was released in the ZZ level before she started a successful career in breeding.
She is bred from the well-known lineage of Urona van Vorderman from Wapenveld. This mare is the basis of many Grand Prix horses, approved stallions and top mares. Zolena is not closely related to many horses in Dutch dressage horse breeding through her father Sir Sinclair, Cabochon and Apollonios. That also makes her son Dante’s Empire interesting for breeding.
