Spectre was approved by the KWPN in December 2025 after the autumn inspection. The report noted the following: Spectre is a generous stallion. He is eager to learn, alert to his surroundings, yet focused on the rider. The walk is four-beat and active. He still needs to improve in body use and
stretch in this gait. The trot has push-off and balance; he shows good leg technique, but this still needs to be consistently relaxed. When this occurs, the forehand has freedom of shoulder and good mechanics. The canter has push-off, scope, and balance. At the moment, he still carries his hindquarters a bit high. Spectre occasionally shows that he can take weight on the hind leg, which also results in better use of the body.He has shown great commitment during the evaluation and has clearly made positive progress.
A honest, reliable stallion, easy to handle and calm in the stable.
The stallions did not receive scores, only a description.
With his height of 1.76m, Spectre can add substance to breeding. His dam, Jamaica, who competed successfully internationally in Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special with Robin Bernoski, is also very well
developed at a height of 1.80m. She scored 80 points in her IBOP and was the best four-year-old mare in the Pavo Cup. She is also excellently bred with offspring from Vivaldi, Ferro, Purioso,
Nimmerdor, and Duc de Normandie.
She is the half-sister of the well-known mare Electra (by Jazz) owned by Lynne Maas, and the Grand Prix horse Havana. Her dam So What is the full sister of the Olympic dressage horse Mythilus and the
half-sister of the Grand Prix dressage horse Koku (by Farmer).Spectre’s father, Hermès, shone with Dinja van Liere in the saddle at the highest level. They were for years the best combination for the Netherlands, achieving fourth place at the Olympic Games in Paris and three bronze medals at the World Championships in Herning. The pedigree of Spectre creates high expectations for a career in top-level sport and a successful future as a breeding stallion.
