Dutch champion Small Tour
Imposantos won gold at the Dutch Dressage Championships at Small Tour level in 2022 with Bart Veeze. In the meantime, they have made the switch to Intermediate-level with victories in Germany. Preparations for participation in the Grand Prix are going according to plan. Bart takes his time with Imposantos, until it is confirmed to the point where great scores come out at the highest level.
In September 2020 Imposantos showed his supremacy by winning the Dutch Championships ZZ-Zwaar. That was a good kick-off for the World Championships for seven year old dressage horses in Verden. Because of the Corona-pandemic the WC was unfortunately cancelled.
Champion of the KWPN performance test
In 2017 Imposantos became champion of the KWPN performance test with 89 points. All traits were awarded with a 9, the canter scored an 8,5. The last sentence of the report says: ‘Imposantos is super talent as dressage horse and gives his rider a superb feeling.’
Foals of Imposantos
In 2019 the first foals of Imposantos were born. A recap of the report the KWPN wrote of his shown progeny:
Imposantos showed a collection of well developed, long-lined foals. They have an appealing forehand with well conformed, long necks. The walk is shown with clear rhythm and good length. The foals trot with good reach, are supple and show more than sufficient balance. In canter the foals show good reach and elasticity.
Sire Wynton competed successfully at Grand Prix-level (ridden by Madeleine Witte-Vrees). The KWPN crowned the son of Jazz with the predicate preferent thanks to his great achievements of his progeny. Twelve approved sons can be found in the Horsetelex.nl database, 9 offspring compete in the Grand Prix and over 45 offspring are qualified to compete in the Prix St Georges.
Imposantos is bred by Willy Wijnen, in 2019 KWPN dressage breeder of the year, out of his elite-mare Zarina (by Krack C), who proved her talent with an excellent performance in the test and competed at Z-level. The mare also produced an offspring of Lord Loxley competing at Z-level.
Granddam Barina (Sultan x Epigoon) is one of the best broodmares of the last decades. She is dam of the approved stallion Landeur, the Grand Prix-dressage horses Tarina (by Jazz) and Warina (by Sir Sinclair), the Grand Prix-jumper Untouchable (by Baloubet du Rouet) and several progeny in sport above Z-level. In the pedigrees of the approved stallion Tolando (by Krack C), the Grand Prix-horses Erina (by Jazz), Al Capone (by Oklund), Olympic Champion Explosion W (by Chacco Blue) and dozens of her offspring we find Barina in the third generation.
