Clear rounds

With Maxi de Weert in the saddle, O’Blue impressed with six clear rounds in the KWPN Blom’s stallion competition. He also jumps under saddle with a lot of power, a nice way and is great to ride.

Great attitude

O’Blue has been approved by Studbook Zangersheide. The committee was impressed by his commitment, good technique and surplus power. We have a lot of confidence in the stallion that we jointly own with Gerard Korbeld. O’Blue is a well-balanced stallion who moves with a lot of balance and power. O’Blue is what they call in English a ‘clear round machine’. With his great attitude and steady way of jumping, expectations are high.

Pedigree

His pedigree and good model complete the picture for us. His father Chacco-Blue is the undisputed number 1 in the world. He is of course the father of Olympic champion Explosion W and dozens of Grand Prix horses that dominate the Grand Prix every week.

Mother Cereedom VDL (Chin Chin x Baloubet du Rouet x Nimmerdor) is elite preferent and performance. She herself jumped to good scores at the inspection and during the aptitude test. Her three oldest offspring jump internationally. Grande Dame (by Zirocco Blue VDL) competes in America with Charly Jayne in the 1.40m. Her full sister Havanna is an elite mare and competed at 1.45m by the German Sven Fehl. Havanna followed her sister and she is currently active in America. J’Adore (by Carambole) jumps at 1.55m level with the French rider Lalie Saclier and has placed in the top 5 of Grand Prix several times. Grande Dame’s only offspring Kane (by Cornet Obolensky) jumps in the 1.30m.

Grandmother Tereedom VDL produced four international show jumping horses. Great-grandmother Jereedom is the basis of many jumping horses and excellent broodmares. The mother’s line (line 4294) comes from Holstein and has an interesting foundation with Landgraf I and Caletto I. With the big names Nimmerdor, Baloubet du Rouet and Chin Chin, the family has been developed into a top strain at the VDL Stud by the Van de Lageweg family. From which many very good show jumping horses and broodmares have emerged, including the Grand Prix horse For Freedom.
