Mr Cornet de Regor
Marks KWPN performancetest 2021
Mr. Cornet de Regor is an honest stallion, easy to ride with a good attitude. The canter is active with good scope and good articulation of the joints, a good balance.
Mr. Cornet de Regor jumps very well with the body upwards with very good reflexes and a lot of body use. Mr. Cornet De Regor jumps with good leg technique. Mr. Cornet de Regor seems very careful and shows much to very much athleticism and overview. As a jumper Mr. Cornet de Regor has a lot of talent and gives his rider a very good feeling.
Mr. Cornet de Regor bears in his name the first part of the name of his world-famous father Cornet Obolensky. The grey son of Clinton, bred out of the Heartbreaker-daughter Rabanna van Costersveld, was a phenomenon in sport under the saddle of Marco Kutscher. In recent years Cornet Obolensky has been a fixture in the top 10 of best showjumping horse sires in the world rankings.
His talents, Mr. Cornet de Regor certainly inherited from the damline – the well-known family of Querly Chin. His mother Ohaj de Regor (2014) is jumping at 1.35m level with Dagmar Veldeman. As a four-year-old, the extra-modeled chestnut mare, owned and bred by the Veldeman-family, won the title at the BWP breeding-day with the older mares. At the age of two and three, Ohaj won several free jumping competitions in Belgium. Her sire Kannan led the world ranking for many years and is still very topical in the sport with his excellent offspring.
Centa de Muze (by Cento), in addition to the super jumping Ohaj de Regor, produced an impressive list of topclass horses. Nine of them jump at 1.35m level and higher. Freestyle Muze, Horizon de Regor compete in the 1.60’s. EMS Inri de Regor and Kerly de Regor are classified at 1.50m level. Centa’s daughter Melia and Imogen de Regor jumped 1.45m-classes. The latter is the dam of the BWP elite stallion Mithras de Regor and the 1.55m show jumper Latisha de Regor ridden by Edwina Tops-Alexander.
Centa is the full sister of Daytona de Muze who was internationally successful with victories in the 1.60m level with Jody Bosteels. Their well-known dam Walloon de Muze (by Nabab de Reve) also competed at the highest level in the sport. She is the full sister of Grand Prix mares Merveille, Walnut and Werly Chin de Muze, who brought their dam Querly Chin eternal fame. Querly Chin herself was one of the best mares of her generation in sport at 1.60m level.
Via her superior daughters Narcotique II (by Darco) and Narcotique IV de Muze (by Quidam de Revel), Querly Chin’s influence on European top jumpinghorse-breeding is even greater. The number of Grand Prix horses and the amount of excellently breeding and performing top stallions from the offspring of Querly Chin is unprecedented. Think of Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof, Jenson van’ t Meulenhof, Querlybet Hero, Million Dollar, I’m Special de Muze, Falaize de Muze, Vagabond de la Pomme, Kasanova de la Pomme, Giovani de Muze, Inschallah de Muze, Mithras de Regor, Qannando B&V, the 1.65m horses Killer Queen VDM, Toupie de la Roque and much more.
